Welcome to the Town of Clinton, the commercial and cultural hub of north Hunterdon County . The Clinton Police Department is a 24-hour full service agency committed to making Clinton a safe, secure and enjoyable place of residence, business or pleasure. We take great pride in maintaining an atmosphere in which our citizens and visitors can enjoy themselves in the charming environment that is Clinton. We strongly believe that visibility, mobility and personal interaction with the public in a positive way by members of the department contribute significantly to our quality of life in Clinton. We also believe that we must be a deterrent to those who are inclined to infringe upon the rights of others through misbehavior, disregard of traffic laws or who simply cause public inconvenience and alarm through inappropriate or illegal actions.
