Zoning Department

The department is responsible for the implementation and enforcement of the Town’s land use and zoning regulations. The Zoning Official reviews permit applications for new construction, additions, accessory structures, pools, signage, and fences to assure compliance with the Town’s ordinances.

Starting a business in Town:

  • The Zoning Office is your first stop for zoning clearance. The office will determine if your business is a permitted use and or a “change of use”. A zoning application is required for all new businesses in The Town of Clinton.

Report a Suspected Zoning Violation:

  • Ordinance violations can be reported to the department, who will work to resolve all matters in a timely and efficient manner.
