New guidelines raises the income level for eligibility

New Jersey Senior Tax Freeze increases eligibility for 2021

The deadline for 2021 Senior Tax Freeze program is October 31, 2022, and that the program has been updated with new guidelines and an increase in income for eligibility from the State of New Jersey.

The revised income eligibility states that the total annual income (combined if you were married or in a civil union and lived in the same home) has been increased to $94,178 for 2021.

The “Senior Freeze” property tax relief program reimburses participants for any property tax increases after successful enrollment. The participant receives a paper check according to the state’s schedule and all enrollees must live in New Jersey for at least ten years to qualify for the program.
