Michael Humphrey has been a resident of Clinton since 1998, believing that this town is the perfect place to raise a family and become a part of a close, active community.
For over 30 years, he has been a leader in the speaking industry, representing former world leaders, noted business executives, scientists, celebrities, authors and thought-leaders for keynote speeches. He is currently the founder of the management firm Nextup Speaker Engagement, and the video production service Visual Breakthroughs, both based in Clinton.
Passionate about community involvement, Mike has volunteered his time throughout his life, including running programs at homeless shelters; coaching youth athletics; being a leader in church ministries; managing weekly league activites for adults; coaching communications skills; running a campus entertainment organization and leading a university legislative body.
Since being elected to the Clinton Common Council in 2018, Mike has worked with an amazing team to redesign and manage the town newsletter and website, manage the town's volunteer recruitment campaigns. He also serves as the Clinton Fire Commissioner and the Coordinator for the Mayor's Wellness Campaign, and serves on the Economic Development Committee, Sewer Committee, Personel Committee, Environmental Commission, Clinton Green Team, and has helped launch the Edlers Committee (which has been delayed due to COVID-19)r, and sitting on the town's Building and Grounds Committee, as well as supporting the efforts of fellow Council Members and the amazing organizations in town to improve Clinton.
