The Clinton Police Department is not just about law enforcement. We are community caretakers providing 24-hour fulltime services to keep Clinton a safe, secure and an enjoyable place of residence, business or pleasure. We take great pride in maintaining an atmosphere in which our residents and visitors can enjoy themselves in the charming environment that is Clinton. To do this we look beyond the ticket or the arrest to other ways in which to serve or assist the members of our community.

We strongly believe that visibility, mobility and personal interaction with the public in a positive way by members of our department significantly contribute to the quality of life in Clinton. We also believe that we are the deterrent to persons inclined to infringe upon the rights of others, disregard our traffic laws or who cause public inconvenience or alarm through inappropriate or illegal behavior.
