Reminder to Residents and Business Regarding Parking Lots

Residents and businesses that park their vehicles in Town lots

While we encourage all residents and business to use public parking lot whenever it is feasible, we wanted to remind you of the limitations on certain parking lots, especially during weather-related events. 

  • Water Street and the Municipal Building Parking Lots have 24-hour parking limits
  • Lower Center Street Parking Lot has 3-hour limits (from 8AM - 5PM), and allows overnight parking. 

Please be reminded that although these lots allow for overnight and 24 hour parking, vehicle owners are still required to move your vehicles or you could be subject to parking summonses.  Leaving vehicles unattended for extended lengths of time, especially during weather events, hinders the the Department of Public Works from properly clearing storm debris and/or snow as the need arises.
