Mayor's Wellness Campaign

mwc

The Mayors Wellness Campaign (MWC) is a statewide community health initiative that provides evidence-based tools and strategies for mayors and community leaders to help their residents achieve healthier lifestyles and to improve overall health and wellness in their communities. The New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute has been leading the Mayors Wellness Campaign in partnership with the New Jersey State League of Municipalities since 2006. The campaign includes over 400 participating communities, and is growing.

Mayors who make a commitment to the Mayors Wellness Campaign (MWC) inspire their residents to live their healthiest lives. They lead campaigns to create innovative wellness initiatives for residents of all ages. The MWC shares resources to support community leaders who pledge to make their communities healthier places to live, work and play. With the support of the MWC, in partnership with the New Jersey League of Municipalities, mayors throughout New Jersey can be powerful champions of community health and wellness.

As Mayor, I pledge to work collaboratively with the Quality Institute and ask the residents of my community to join me in our Mayors Wellness Campaign. Together we’ll work to build healthier lives and a stronger community. As Mayor, I will create and sustain innovative activities and programs that empower citizens to improve wellness in our community.
