CivicPlus® Announces 2021 Small Town America Civic Volunteer Award Recognitions

In 2021, CivicPlus® held their Small Town America Civic Volunteer Award program will recognize and honor the Nation's top 100 public service and public safety volunteers from towns and counties of less than 25,000 in population. The program received nearly 700 nominations from 49 states.

Councilwoman Megan Johnson, Councilman Mike Humphrey and former Councilwoman Lisa Intrabartola nominated Clinton Mayor Janice Kovach for this award, to which we are pleased to say was selected as one of the top 100 honorees throughout the Country!  “The number of lives that Janice Kovach has touched is impressive, but it how she touched people that makes her truly special. She is equally as passionate leading the NJ League of Municipalities as she is racing with costumed children with a broken foot; working on the New Jersey Film Commission as she is emptying dozens of overflowing Main Street trash cans during the weekend; from being a three term Mayor to being repeatedly dunked in a dunk tank to raise. She takes all calls, addresses any problems, and makes each interaction feel special.”, said Johnson, Humphrey and Intrabartola.

We congratulate Mayor Kovach for receiving this honor, and thank her for all of the hard work she does on behalf of the Town of Clinton!
